If you have a problem with low iron, I have a few suggestions. Eat
Original Total cereal, clams, oysters, raisins, beets, red meat, chicken
livers, etc. Also, 1 week before donating, stop taking calcium and
drinking tea - hot or cold. Vitamin
C or citrus juice helps the body absorb iron. Remember to eat before you donate and drink plenty of
fluids. I will post other information at least a week before the bus is
here. 38% of the population can
donate blood; but, only 10% do. one blood needs 2,500 donations daily to
meets the needs of patients in our hospitals. Please donate & save 3
